What I do

Six crafts. One engineer who builds it all.

Web development, design, search, software engineering, mobile apps, and AI. I don’t treat them as separate services to upsell — they’re parts of one craft: building things that work, and keep working. With one accountable engineer behind all of it, I can build virtually anything. Here’s how I think about each.

01 — Web Development

Web Development

Fast, accessible, hand-built websites and web apps — engineered, not assembled from a bloated template you’ll fight for years.

I build websites the way they should be built: lean markup, real performance, and a structure that search engines and humans both understand. No page-builder sprawl, no plugin pile-up slowing everything down. When a Long Island business comes to me with a site that’s slow, fragile, or impossible to update, the fix is usually the same — simplify, then build it right.

  • ✓ Custom WordPress & hand-coded front-ends
  • ✓ Core Web Vitals & performance tuning
  • ✓ Accessibility & mobile-first builds
  • ✓ Rescues & rebuilds of existing sites

02 — Web Design

Web Design

Design with restraint. Clear hierarchy, real typography, and a calm visual voice that makes your business look as capable as it is.

Good design isn’t decoration — it’s clarity. I design interfaces that get out of the way: where the next step is obvious, the words do the heavy lifting, and nothing competes for attention that doesn’t deserve it. The goal is a site that feels effortless to use and quietly premium, on every screen size.

  • ✓ Brand-aligned visual systems
  • ✓ Conversion-focused layouts
  • ✓ Responsive, mobile-first design
  • ✓ Design and build from one person

03 — Search

SEO & Search

Technical SEO, structured data, and content that earns rankings honestly — the same approach that keeps my own pages on page one.

SEO isn’t tricks; it’s the natural result of a site that’s fast, well-structured, and genuinely useful. I handle the technical foundation — clean markup, schema/structured data, performance, internal linking, local signals — and pair it with content built around what your customers in Commack, Suffolk, and Nassau are actually searching for. No keyword stuffing, no shortcuts that age badly.

  • ✓ Technical SEO audits & fixes
  • ✓ Structured data / rich results
  • ✓ Local SEO for Long Island businesses
  • ✓ Content strategy that compounds

04 — Engineering

Software Engineering

Full products, platforms, and WordPress plugins — from a single tool to the systems behind KeyInventions.

When a website isn’t enough, I build the software. Custom applications, APIs, automations, and the kind of WordPress plugins that add real capability instead of bloat. This is the work I do at KeyInventions every day, and it’s available to clients who need something built to hold up as they grow.

  • ✓ Custom web applications & APIs
  • ✓ WordPress plugin development
  • ✓ iOS / Swift app work
  • ✓ Architecture & technical guidance

05 — Mobile Apps

App Development

Native-quality iOS and Android apps — designed, coded, and shipped to the App Store and Google Play by one engineer.

Most apps fail because no one was accountable for how the whole thing felt. I build the opposite way: cross-platform with React Native and Expo so one clean codebase runs natively on both stores — and native Swift when a project calls for it. Push notifications, payments, sign-in, and real backends, wired in properly. The same way I build the apps behind KeyInventions.

  • ✓ iOS & Android from one codebase
  • ✓ Push, in-app purchases & APIs
  • ✓ Designed and built by one person
  • ✓ App Store & Google Play launch

06 — Artificial Intelligence

AI Development

Custom AI features and automations built into real products — treated as a tool to solve problems, not a buzzword to sell.

The hype around AI is deafening; most of it is noise. I cut through it — find where AI genuinely makes your product faster, smarter, or cheaper, build that, and tell you honestly where it isn’t ready. LLM integration (OpenAI, Claude, open models), search over your own data, assistants, and automation that saves your team real hours — wired into software that actually works.

  • ✓ AI features inside real products
  • ✓ LLM & API integration, done right
  • ✓ Automation that saves real hours
  • ✓ Honest about what AI can’t do

How it goes

A simple, honest process.

01

Understand

We talk through what you’re actually trying to achieve. If I’m not the right fit, I’ll say so and point you somewhere better.

02

Build

I design and build it properly, keep you in the loop, and make the trade-offs visible instead of hiding them.

03

Last

I hand off something fast, documented, and maintainable — and I’m here when you need to grow it.

Good questions

Before you reach out.

Do you only work with businesses on Long Island?

Long Island is home base — Commack, Suffolk, and Nassau — and I love working with local businesses. But the work is remote-friendly, and I take on projects across New York and beyond when they’re a good fit.

Do you build on WordPress or custom code?

Both. If WordPress is right for your team, I build clean, fast WordPress sites and custom plugins. If a project needs custom software, I build it from scratch in the right stack. I recommend whichever genuinely serves the goal — not whichever is easiest for me.

Can you improve a site that already exists?

Yes. A lot of my work is rescuing sites that are slow, hard to rank, or built on something the owner has outgrown — improving performance, SEO, and structure without starting from zero unless it’s truly warranted.

Will my site actually rank on Google?

SEO is never a guarantee, and anyone who promises a #1 spot is selling something. What I can promise is honest, technically sound work — fast pages, clean structured data, and genuinely useful content — which is what rankings are built on. It’s the same approach I use on my own pages.

Tell me what you’re building.

A short note about your project is all it takes to start.
